When using paraffin and in cold weather or wind, the preheating requires more fuel - let the nozzle spray fuel for
4-6 seconds. Important! Always check the stove for leaking fuel. Check for leaks in the seals, fuel hose O-rings,
control valve and pump piston. Do not use the stove if leaks are found!
4. Light the preheating pad (5) (fig. C). Important! Protect the stove with a wind shield (fig. H). The preheating pad (5)
burns for approx. 30 seconds when using pure petrol, slightly longer when using paraffin and at low ambient
temperatures. Wait until the fuel in the preheating pad (5) is almost burnt and then slowly open the fuel regulator
(22) (+). The flame should not be extinguished yet! If the flame turns yellow and flickers, the stove is not yet suffi-
ciently preheated. In this case, turn down the fuel regulator (22) (-) until a stable blue flame is achieved.
5. Let the stove burn for 1-2 minutes at low heat output to heat it up. If the full heat output is still not achieved, the
fuel regulator (22) must be completely closed (-) and the stove must cool down completely. Then repeat the start-
ing procedure with a larger quantity of preheating fuel and a longer preheating time. The stove must only be oper-
ated in a fully upright position and must not be moved after lighting. Important! Observe the minimum distances!
These are 1.25 m to the top and at least 0.3 m to the sides.
6. To turn off the stove and empty the fuel system, turn the fuel bottle 180° so that the fuel regulator (22) of the fuel
pump points upwards. After the flame has gone out and only air is flowing out of the nozzle, close the fuel regu-
lator (22) completely (-). Important! This process may take some time. Before dismantling the stove, please allow it
to cool down. Important! Do not relight a warm stove. If the stove is still warm, liquid fuel may evaporate, creating
a dangerously large flame when relit.
OPERATION WITH GAS CARTRIDGE:
1. When using a gas cartridge, it is essential that the fuel system is completely free of liquid fuel. Otherwise, the
flame could flare up violently (follow the instructions for operating with fuel). Make sure that the gas regulator (11)
is completely closed (-).
2. Hold the gas cartridge upright when connecting it to the gas regulator (11) and place it straight on the cartridge.
Make sure that the gas cartridge is straight and that the thread does not jam when connecting it. Screw it in care-
fully until the gas cartridge rests against the sealing ring. Important! Only tighten by hand, without tools.
Over-tightening can damage the thread of the cartridge. Make sure that there is a complete gas seal. A check for
tightness may only be carried out outdoors. Tip! Only use water on the joints and connections of the stove to check
for leaks. If there is a leak, small bubbles will form around the leak area. If you hear or smell gas, do not light the
stove. Never check for leaks with an open flame!
3. Turn the pot supports (12) to the correct position. Place the grid for gas operation (34) on the flame distributor (7).
Always operate the stove on a stable surface. Make sure that the hose is directed away from the stove. Keep the
gas cartridge away from the heat of the stove. If necessary, protect the stove with a windbreak (fig. H). The stove is
now ready for use.
4. Turn on the gas regulator (11) (+) and light the stove immediately (fig. C). The flame can be regulated by turning the
gas regulator (11). The stove must only be operated in a fully upright position and must not be moved after light-
ing. Important! Observe the minimum distances! These are 1.25 m to the top and at least 0.3 m to the sides.
5. After use, turn off the gas regulator (11) (-). Some gas may escape when unscrewing the cartridge. Fold the pot
supports back to stow the stove. Wait until the stove has cooled down before storing it.
TIPS AND TROUBLESHOOTING FOR OPERATION WITH GAS CARTRIDGES:
Gas cartridges are very user and environmentally friendly. The stove requires almost no maintenance and care, as
almost no soot or deposits are left in the fuel system. Below you will find important information regarding the perfor-
mance of the stove when it is operated with gas cartridges. The following factors affect the heat output:
1. The amount of gas in the cartridge.
2. The temperature of the surrounding air.
3. The initial temperature of the liquid gas.
4. If it is cold, place the gas cartridge in warm water (filling level 2.5 cm) to preheat it.
5. Preheat the gas cartridge with your hands or put it in your jacket before connecting it to the appliance.
6. The nozzle is clogged (see Maintenance when operating with liquid fuel).
MAINTENANCE WHEN OPERATING WITH LIQUID FUEL:
When using liquid fuel, the nozzle (8) must be cleaned regularly to ensure optimal and trouble-free operation. In case
of long-term use of liquid or low-quality fuel, the fuel pipe in the generator (2) may also need to be cleaned.
To clean the nozzle (8), use the small, fold-out needle of the tool supplied (36). Insert the needle into the small, central
opening of the nozzle and poke it free. To remove or change the nozzle (8), loosen it with the tool supplied (36) and
remove it from the burner housing. The shaking needle (9) is now also accessible if you want to change or clean it.
After cleaning, make sure that the shaking needle (9) is inserted and tighten the nozzle (8) again to ensure a complete
seal.
To change the preheating pad (5), loosen the cap nut (14) with the tool (36) and remove the burner housing (1). The
preheating pad (5) is now free and can be replaced. After replacement, put the burner housing (1) back in its position
and tighten the cap nut (14) again.
To clean the generator (2), loosen the generator screw (4) with the tool (36). The cleaning wire (3) is now freely acces-
sible. Move it back and forth several times to clean the pipe of the generator (2). After cleaning, tighten the generator
screw (4) again.
