• We recommend that you clean the device directly
after every use.
• Clean the device at regular intervals using a damp
cloth and a little soft soap. Do not use any cleaning
products or solvents; they could attack the plastic
parts of the device. Make sure that no water can
penetrate the device interior. Water entering a power
tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
11.2 Maintenance
The double grinder must be inspected regularly (e.g.
electrical inspection, inspection of the protective bon-
net and the workpiece support, inspection of the fas-
tening of the machine).
Defective machines or machines with dismantled pro-
tective devices (e.g. protective screens) must not be
used.
11.2.1 Tone test
Check the grindstone for cracks and perform a sound
test for crack detection.
• The grindstone must be removed from the machine
for the sound test. The grindstone stands upright on
the floor. On a hard floor, use a piece of wood as a
support. The grindstone must be dry.
• Lightly tap the grinding disc with a non-metallic ham-
mer. A crack-free disc has a high, purely bell-like
sound. A disc that has a crack produces a muffled
sound. If the grindstone is flawless, it can be fitted.
11.2.2 Changing the the grinding disc (Fig. 1, 6)
m Attention! To prevent injuries caused by acciden-
tally starting the bench grinder, always switch off the
device (on/off switch (8) Position "0") and disconnect
the mains plug from the socket before changing the
grinding disc.

5.
Note: Do not remove the cardboard discs attached
to the sides of the new grinding disc (3), as these
help to safeguard the flanges' grip (6b) against the
grinding disc (3).
6.
Inspect the new grinding disc (3) for cracks or oth-
er visible damage and discard if necessary. Make
a tone test.
7.
Replace the flange (6b) and the nut (6a).
8.
Do not overtighten the nut (6a) with a screwdriver,
otherwise the grinding disc (3) may break.
9.
Refit the grinding wheel cover (6).
10. Adjust tool support (4), spark guard (2) and pro-
tective disc (1).
