7. 3. 1 KARL STORZ-SCB

HINWEIS: Um ein versehentliches Herauszie-
hen des SCB-Verbindungskabels zu verhindern,
besitzt der SCB-Stecker eine Schutzvorrichtung.
Die Schutzvorrichtung des SCB-Steckers zurück-
ziehen (siehe Abb. 7) und den Stecker in eine der
SCB- Anschlüs se q einstecken. Das andere Ende
des Kabels mit einem KARL STORZ-SCB Steuer-
gerät (KARL STORZ Communication Bus) oder
weiteren SCB-Geräten verbinden (siehe hierzu
Gebrauchs anweisung KARL STORZ-SCB System).

7. 3. 2 Fußschalter anschließen
Für die Bedienung des Fußschalters w das
Anschlusskabel* des Fußschalters in die Buchse
für den Fußschalter U an der Frontseite des

S III stecken (siehe Abb. 8). Den roten
Punkt am Anschlusskabel auf den roten Punkt auf
der Fußschalterbuchse ausrichten.

HINWEIS: Ist beim Einschalten des Gerätes
kein Fußschalter angeschlossen, blinkt die

Meldung: „E11" in der 7-Segment-
Anzeige E (siehe Abb. 9).
7. 3. 3 Applikationsinstrumente
anschließen
Applikationsinstrument gemäß Gebrauchsan-
weisung vorbereiten.
HINWEIS: Die dem Applikations instrument

beiliegende Beipackzettel beachten!
Das vom Applikationsinstrument kommende
Anschlusskabel* an den Motorausgang Y

anschließen (siehe Abb. 10).

* HINWEIS: Zum Ausstecken des
Anschlusskabels am Stecker ziehen, nicht
am Kabel.
Für ordnungsgemäßen Anschluss den roten Punkt
am Anschlusskabel auf die Buchse ausrichten.

HINWEIS: Ist beim Einschalten des Gerätes
kein Motor angeschlossen, blinkt die Meldung:
„E12" in der 7-Segment-Anzeige E (siehe
Abb. 11).

NOTE: To prevent the SCB connecting cable
from being pulled out accidentally, the SCB
connector possesses a protection device.
Pull back the protection device of the SCB
connector (see Fig. 7) and insert the connector
into one of the SCB sockets q . Connect the
other end of the cable to the KARL STORZ-SCB
(KARL STORZ Communication Bus) control unit
or other SCB devices (see KARL STORZ-SCB
system instruction manual).
7. 3. 2 Connecting the footswitch
To use the footswitch w insert the connecting
cable* of the footswitch into the socket for the
footswitch U on the front of the UNIDRIVE
(see Fig. 8). Align the red dot on the connecting
cable with the red dot on the footswitch socket.

NOTE: If no footswitch is connected when
the device is switched on, the message
"E11" flashes in the 7-segment display E
(see Fig. 9).
7. 3. 3 Connecting application
instruments
Prepare the application instrument according to
the instruction manual.
NOTE: Read the accompanying instruction

leaflet provided with the application
instrument carefully!
Connect the connecting cable* coming from the
application instrument to the motor output Y
(see Fig. 10).

* NOTE: To unplug the connecting cable,
pull out the plug – do not pull directly on the
cable!
The connection is made properly when the red dot
on the connecting cable is aligned with that on the
socket.

NOTE: If no motor is connected when the
device is switched on, the message "E12"
flashes in the 7-segment display E
(see Fig. 11).
