This manual contains important information to help you understand how to use your helmet properly.
Read this manual carefully before use and keep it for future reference.
No helmet can completely protect the wearer from all possible linear or rotational impacts that may
occur at high or low speeds.
For maximum head protection, the helmet must be of proper fit and the retention system must be
securely fastened under the chin. The helmet should allow peripheral vision when secure on your
head. If your helmet is too large, it may slip or move on your head while riding which may make it
possible for your helmet to come off in an accident or to obstruct your vision while riding. In the first
case, your helmet will not protect your head in an accident which can result in serious personal injury
or death and in the second case, if you cannot see you may have an accident.
The peak could shatter under pressure or due to an impact. Suitable goggles are recommended for
extra eye protection.
Read the precautions and the instructions in this manual before use, and use your helmet with
thorough understanding.
This manual contains common precautions for SHOEI helmets. For product-specific instructions for
use and precautions, please read the instruction manual packed with your helmet carefully before use.
Motorcycle riding has special personal hazards and no helmet can protect the head against all fore-
seeable high speed and low speed impacts. The protective capability of a helmet is difficult to mea-
sure at the time of purchase because there are untold numbers of accidents. A helmet can provide
protection only to the extent that your head is covered with the helmet. However, the use of a well
fitted, securely fastened helmet can minimize the risk of death or permanent impairment from head
injury. For maximum head protection, the helmet must be of proper fit and the retention system must
be securely fastened under the chin. Failure to have a proper fit and to securely fasten the helmet
is dangerous as the helmet could come off in an accident resulting in severe head injury or death.

er's obligation – not SHOEI's - to make sure that the SHOEI
as "street legal" for the country or jurisdiction in which he or she is using such helmet.

Ce manuel contient des informations importantes qui vous aideront à comprendre comment utiliser
correctement votre casque. Lisez attentivement ce manuel avant de l'utiliser et conservez-le afin de
pouvoir le consulter ultérieurement.
Aucun casque ne peut protéger complètement le porteur contre tous les chocs linéaires ou rotatifs
possibles pouvant se produire à des vitesses élevées ou basses.
Pour une protection maximale de la tête, le casque doit être bien ajusté et le système de rétention doit être
solidement fixé sous le menton. Le casque doit permettre une vision périphérique lorsqu'il est bien fixé sur
la tête. Si votre casque est trop grand, il risque de glisser ou de bouger sur votre tête pendant la conduite, ce
qui peut entraîner le détachement du casque en cas d'accident ou gêner votre vision pendant la conduite.
Dans le premier cas, votre casque ne protégera pas votre tête en cas d'accident, ce qui peut entraîner des
blessures graves ou la mort et dans le second cas, votre manque de visibilité peut entraîner un accident.
Le pic pourrait éclater sous la pression ou suite à un choc. Des lunettes de protection adaptées sont
recommandées pour une protection supplémentaire des yeux.
Lisez les précautions et les instructions figurant dans ce manuel avant utilisation et utilisez votre
casque uniquement après les avoir bien comprises.
Ce manuel contient les précautions habituelles relatives aux casques SHOEI. Pour connaître les
instructions spécifiques et précautions relatives au produit, veuillez lire attentivement le manuel
d'instructions fourni avec votre casque avant de l'utiliser.
Conduire une moto comporte certains risques inhérents et aucun casque ne pourra jamais protéger la tête
contre tous les chocs prévisibles à grande vitesse ou à faible vitesse. Il est difficile d'évaluer la capacité pro-
tectrice d'un casque au moment de son achat, car on ne peut prévoir les accidents. En outre, le casque ne
peut assurer une protection que pour la partie de la tête avec laquelle il est en contact. Cependant, l'emploi
d'un casque bien adapté et solidement fixé par sa jugulaire peut réduire les risques d'un accident mortel ou
de blessures permanentes, subies par la tête. Pour assurer une protection maximale, le casque doit être bien
adapté à la tête et son système de fixation doit être fermement attaché sous le menton. Porter un casque mal
adapté ou mal attaché est dangereux, car il peut se détacher lors d'un accident, ce qui pourrait provoguer de
sérieuses blessures à la tête, voire de la mort.
