Wearing of Helmet (Size, Chinstrap)
WARNING
Use only a helmet that fits snugly all around your
head.
z If your helmet does not fit your head properly, it may
slip or move on your head while riding or pressure
your head which causes a headache. This prevents
your safe riding, please choose a helmet which fits
your head properly. To determine proper fit, please
refer to "Before Use" in this manual.
Fasten the chinstrap securely under your chin.
z If the chinstrap is not fastened properly, the helmet
could move or come off during your
riding and can be very dangerous.
Please fasten the chinstrap securely
referring to "How to Wear and Remove
a Helmet Correctly" and "How to
Fasten the Chinstrap" in this manual.
Modification
WARNING
Never modify your helmet.
z Drilling holes or cutting into the shell or the impact
absorbing liner can significantly reduce the helmet's
protective performance. A helmet with reduced
protective ability will not adequately protect the
head. Modifying the retention system, including
the chinstrap, may result in the helmet coming off
during an impact. Removing parts like the bottom
beading, window beading, or mouthpiece can
expose the shell's edges, posing a risk of injury in
the event of an impact.
Always
use
genuine
SHOEI
parts
for
replacements, such as
shields/visors,
screws,
and other components.

AVERTISSEMENT
Utilisez uniquement un casque qui convient
parfaitement à votre tour de tête.
z Si votre casque ne convient pas à votre tour de tête, il
risque de glisser ou de bouger sur votre tête pendant
la conduite ou d'exercer une pression sur votre tête,
ce qui pourrait provoquer des maux de tête. Tout
cela vous empêche de conduire en toute sécurité.
Veuillez choisir un casque adapté à votre tour de tête.
Pour déterminer la bonne taille de casque, veuillez

z Si la jugulaire n'est pas correctement fixée, le
casque peut bouger ou se détacher
pendant la conduite, et cela peut être très
dangereux. Veuillez attacher la jugulaire

sections «Comment porter et retirer
correctement un casque» et «Comment
attacher la jugulaire» de ce manuel.

Handling
WARNING
Never ride with the helmet hanging
from the helmet holder, and don't hang
the helmet from angled supports like a
mirror.
z The helmet (shell) and the impact
absorbing liner can become damaged
or obstruct your riding, which can be
dangerous.
Do not sit on your helmet or throw it around. Avoid
the spray of insect repellent chemicals (such as
"naphthalene") near the helmet.
z Mistreating your helmet will damage the shell and
impact absorbing liner and reduce the helmet's
ability to protect you in an accident. Utmost care
should be taken in handling the matte finished
helmet because its surface is delicate and can be
scratched or stained easily.
The spray of insect repellent chemicals may
damage the impact absorbing liner. Please be
careful the place to put your helmet.
Do not repaint the helmet.
z Paint and thinner can damage the materials
used in the helmet construction. A
helmet damaged or weakened by a
paint agent may not provide head
protection in an accident resulting
in serious personal injury or death. If
you must paint your helmet, please
consult SHOEI dealer.
Always carry the helmet holding the chinstrap.
z Do not carry the helmet holding the interiors or
shield/visor. The helmet may drop and be damaged.
