Preparing
The
mount of continuous recording time depending on:
- Which mode! of battery pack you are using.
- How much you use the Zoom function.
It is, therefore, recommended that you have several available.

Charging the Battery Pack

Note: If the DC Cable is plugged into the AC power
Connect the AC power adaptor to a wall socket.
Attach the battery pack to the AC power adaptor
by aligning it with the left of the AC power adaptor,
pressing down on the battery and siding it to right.
- The CHARGE/REFRESH indicator flashes red.
- When the battery pack is fully charged, the red
CHARGE indicator comes on (not flashing).

Once the battery pack has been completely
charged, you can attach it to the camcorder.
- Lift the viewfinder up so that it is not in the way.
- Align the bottom of battery pack (end opposite
the tab with the red dot) with the bottom of the
battery compartment on the rear of the camcorder.
- Push the top of the battery into the compartment
until it clicks twice into place.
- Make sure that the battery pack is fitted firmly into
place to avoid damage by dropping.
To set the camcorder to the Camera mode.
a. Hold down the tab of the switch and push the
switch to the CAMERA position.
b. Set the LOCK/STANDBY switch to STANDBY.
c. Make sure that the Lens Cap is opened.
(The Lens Cap is opened automatically with your
selection of Power switch to CAMERA position in
case of VP-A34/A850)
d, Make sure that the image appears
in the viewfinder.
@ Removal of the Battery Pack

Carefully supporting the battery pack, slide the
BATT.EJECT button in the direction of the arrow,
until the battery is released.
Pull out the battery pack carefully.

Die Aufnahmezeit hangt von folgenden Faktoren ab:
+ welchen Akkutyp Sie verwenden; -
- wie oft Sie die Zoomfunktion verwenden.
Es wird empfohten, fiir AuBenaufnahmen mehrere Akkus bereitzuhalten.
Akku aufladen
SchlieBen Sie den Netzadapter an eine Steckdose an.
SchiieBen Sie den Akku an den Netzadapier an. Dazu
richien Sie den Akku auf den linken Adapterrand aus,
driicken den Akku an den Adapier und schieben den
Akku nach rechts.
- Die Anzeige CHARGE/REFRESH blinkt rot.
- Wenn der Akku voll aufgeladen ist, leuchtet die
Anzeige CHARGE rot.
Hinweis:
Wenn das DC-AnschluBkabel mit dem

Netzadapier ver-bunden ist, kann der Akku
nicht geladen werden.
Akku an den Camcorder anschlieBen
SchiieBen Sie den voll aufgeladenen Akku wie folgt
an den Camcorder an.
- Richten Sie den Sucher nach oben.
- Fihren Sie die Unterseite des Akkus (Ende
endiber Markierungsschieber mit rotem Punkt)
in das Akkufach an der Camcorder-Ritckseite ein.
- Drlicken Sie die Oberseite des Akkus in das Fach,
his er einrastet.
- Vergewissem Sie sich, daB der Akku fest sitzt, um
Schaden zu vermeiden,
Schaiten Sie den Camcorder wie folgt in den
Aufnahme-Bereitschaftsmodus:
a. Dricken Sie auf die rote Zunge am Schalter fir
den Betriebs-modus und stellen Sie den Schalter
auf CAMERA.
b. Stellen Sie den Schalter LOCK/STANDBY auf
STANDBY.
c. Stellen Sie sicher, daf3 die Objektivkappe
abgenommen bzw. gedffnet wurde. (Bei VP-
A34/A850 wird die Objektivkappe automatisch
gedtinet, wenn Sie den Schalter tir den
Betriebsmadus auf Position CAMERA setzen.)
d. Stellen Sie sicher, daB das Bild auf dem
Suchermonitor wiedergegeben wird.
@ Akku vom Camcorder abnehmen

Halten Sie den Akku fest und schieben Sie den
Schalter BATT. EJECT in Pfeilrichtung, bis der Akku
freigegeben wird.
Ziehen Sie den Akku vorsichtig aus dem Akkufach heraus.
