5.3.1
Enabling the programming mode
If necessary, enter the 4-digit user code (see Section 5.3.2).
5.3.2
Disabling the programming mode
Enter a 4-character user code on the control console to lock the device configuration (See "Descrip-
tion of device functions" on Page 76.). Enter the user code using the CODE function in the menu
level SET - BASIC SETTINGS .

Confirmation of error messages
Acknowledge error messages on the controller display by pressing the operating key beneath the OK
field.

Communication via ReadWin
Besides by means of local operation, you can also remotely configure the device and poll measured
values using a PC with the Endress+Hauser operating software ReadWin
is a universal PC programme for remote device operation. The interface for remote configuration is
the RS232 connection socket. You can find detailed information on operating the device using Read-
®
Win
2000 on the CD-ROM with the device software supplied.
Picklists automatically display the possible set-
tings. The picklist selected (e.g. time, quantity,
ext. sig., flow) is highlighted using a black
background ('-mode' in the graphic).
