Operational safety
Repairs
Repairs that are not described in these Operating Instructions may only be carried out directly at the
manufacturer's or by the ENDRESS+HAUSER service department.
EMC
The measuring system meets the general safety requirements of EN 61010 and the EMC require-
ments of EN 61326.
Technical improvement
The manufacturer reserves the right to adapt technical data to the most up-to-date technical devel-
opments without any special announcement. Ask ENDRESS+HAUSER for information about activ-
ities and possible extensions to these Operating Instructions.
Warning!
The separate Ex documentation (XA 037R/09/a3) is an integral part of these Operating Instruc-
tions. The installation procedure and connection data contained therein must be consistently
observed!

Return
You should take the following measures before sending the device back to Endress+Hauser, for
example for repair:
• Always enclose a fully-completed "Dangerous Goods Sheet" with the device. Only then can
Endress+Hauser transport, test or repair a returned device.
• If necessary, include special handling regulations with the returned product, e.g. a safety datash-
eet in accordance with EN 91/155/EEC.
• Remove all signs of fluids. Pay special attention to the grooves for seals and crevices which could
contain residues. This is particularly important if the substance is hazardous to health, e.g. flam-
mable, toxic, caustic, carcinogenic, etc.
Note!
You can find a copy of the "Dangerous Goods Sheet" at the end of these Operating Instructions.
Caution!
• Do not return any device if you cannot be entirely sure that you have completely removed all
traces of hazardous substances e.g. any media which have penetrated crevices or diffused through
plastic.
• Costs incurred for waste disposal and injury (burns, etc.) due to inadequate cleaning will be
charged to the owner-operator.
