3.3.4 Hydraulic connection
• Maximum suction height: standard 6 m; optional: 8 m
• Maximum hose length: 30 m
• Hose connection diameter: 10 mm internal diameter
• Suction velocity:>0.5 m/s, acc. to EN 25667
Caution!
• Always lay the sampling hose in such a way that it rises from the sampling point to the sampler.
• The sampler must be above the sampling point.
• Avoid siphon formation in the sampling hose.
Sampling point
Requirements of the sampling point:
Caution!
• Do not connect the sampling hose to pressurised systems.
• Use the suction filter to impede coarse and abrasive solids and solids which can cause clogging.
• Immerse the suction hose in the direction of flow.
• Take the samples at a representative point (turbulent flow; not directly at the bottom of the
channel).
• The medium must be conveyed free of bubbles in the suction hose
Water connections
Mount the device according to the mounting conditions  Chap. 3.3.

2. Lay the sampling hose from the sampling point to the device.

Please observe the requirements of a sampling point, as specified in Chap. 3.3
3. Screw the sampling hose to the hose connection of the device Fig. 2, item d.
