innovation in the fi eld of lighting. This
headlight is completely integrated in
the handlebars so that it cannot break
off like other lights. The wires are also
fully concealed in the frame. The Logic
Light has won various design prizes. To
adjust the beam of light and replace
the bulb, follow the instructions below
(Logic Light). The dynamo is usually
responsible for the power supply to the
headlight and sometimes the backlight,
too. When the drive wheel revolves,
a voltage is produced in the magnetic
fi elds which is fed to the light.
A. LOGIC LIGHT
Adjusting the beam and replacing the
bulb:
• Remove the black cap on the inside of
the handlebars
• On the inside you see a large screw
with a crosshead with which you can
adjust the direction of the beam.
• Right at the bottom you can see a

very small screw with crosshead with
which you can loosen the front of the
headlight and get to the bulb.
Hard wearing and classical and Hard
wearing and trendy bicycles have one
of two types of headlights:
A. The normal type of headlight (33)
which is fed by a dynamo.
(34)
B. A headlight with automatic switch
which is used in combination with a
hub dynamo. The automatic switch me-
ans that the light can be switched 'ON'
or 'OFF' or to 'AUTOMATIC' (so that it
responds to light and movement).
THE BACKLIGHT
Hard wearing and classical and Hard
wearing and trendy bicycles have one
of the following types of backlights.
A. A so-called 'stand light' (in com-
bination with the safety bumper). In
this light, the dynamo stores some
energy when turning. This extra stored
energy is only used when you stop. The
backlight then continues to shine for a
while (e.g. for safety at traffi c lights).
B. A backlight with automatic switch
and battery. This technology (which
works on batteries) makes use of a
sensor and automatically switches the
backlight on when it becomes dark
and if the bicycle moves. This light also
continues to shine for a while when
you stop cycling.
C. An independently-working back-
light (35). This light is equipped with
a switch ('ON/OFF') and works on bat-
teries.

WHAT CAN YOU DO YOURSELF?
1. The drawing shows where the dyna-
mo should be, relative to the tyre (36).
Ensure that the imaginary axis from the
dynamo also goes through the axis of
the wheel (the axle). Furthermore, the
