6.4 Mounting the C10 as delivered without an adapter (opt.
version)
When you use the force transducer without an adapter, it is bolted onto an
existing structural element by means of the outer hole circle.

The other side of the force application is implemented via the convex load
button, see Section 6.3.
This type of installation measures axial compressive forces perfectly, the force
transducer can be used for static and dynamic measurements to the full extent
of the oscillation width.
The vent hole is to prevent the measurement result being adversely affected by
drastic variation of external pressure. This hole is only necessary if very small
forces (<50 N) are to be measured by sensors with a nominal (rated) force of
2.5 kN, 5 kN or 10 kN. If there is little variation in air pressure (normal ambient
air pressure), or the nominal (rated) force is greater, there is no need for the
hole.
The centering aid simplifies installation, the usable centering depth
corresponds to dimension Z. Details for Z can be found in the Specifications.
