S It must be paint-free
S It must be free from oil and grease; the cleaning agent RMS1 from HBM
can be used for cleaning (ordering number 1­RMS1)
S The hardness must be at least 40 HRC
S It must be stiff enough not to sag
S The ideal flatness does not exceed a tolerance of 0.005 mm.
S The bolts used must comply with the property classes specified in the table
and be tightened with the specified tightening torque. The threaded holes
must be sufficiently stable to allow bolts of the specified property classes to
be used.
S Note that you must use hexagon socket bolts that comply with
ISO 4762/DIN 912.

Mount the bolts in a diagonally opposite sequence: after tightening one bolt,
continue with the bolt opposite. Proceed gradually, i.e. do not tighten with the
moment specified in the table straight away, but first apply some of the
moment to all the bolts, so that you can increase the torque for all the bolts in a
subsequent step. Repeat this until all the bolts are held with the intended
moment. It is acceptable to take three to four steps to reach the specified
torque.
