Cot Fastener Installation

The Stryker Model 6373, 6376 and 6381 Cot Fastener systems are designed to be compatible only with cots
which conform to the installation specifications listed in this manual. Ambulance cots which currently meet
these specifications are:
Stryker
Model 6100 M1 Roll−In System
Ferno−Washington
Model X−2*
WARNING
It is the responsibility of the cot operator to ensure that the cot being used in the Stryker Model 6373, 6376
and 6381 Cot Fastener Systems meets the installation specifications listed in this manual. Injury may result
if a non−compatible cot is used in the Stryker Model 6373, 6376 or 6381 Fastener System.
Replace the cot fastener if it has been involved in an accident. A fastener that has been involved in a accident
may be damaged resulting in failure to operate properly and possible injury.
ATTENTION
The Model 6100 Ambulance Cot, in combination with a Model 6373, Model 6376 or Model 6381 Cot Fastener
System, is designed in accordance to BS EN 1789, Medical Vehicles and their Equipment − Road Ambu-
lances. The Cot Fastener System must be installed by qualified personnel to be in conformance to this stan-
dard. 1/4" steel backing plates (or equivalent) are required beneath the mounting surface (ambulance floor
or tray system) at all mounting points. Before putting the system into service, test the installation using BS
EN 1789 as a minimum.
The Model 6100 Ambulance Cot, equipped with the AS/NZS 4535 upgrade, in combination with a Model 6373,
6376 or 6381 Cot Fastener System, is designed in accordance to AS/NZS 4535 Australian/New Zealand
Standardt − Ambulance Restraint Systems. The Cot Fastener System must be installed by qualified person-
nel to be in conformance to this standard. 1/4" steel backing plates (or equivalent) are required beneath the
mounting surface (ambulance floor or tray system) at all mounting points. Before putting the system into ser-
vice, test the installation using AS/NZS 4535 as a minimum.
* 2000 model year or earlier. Stryker is not responsible for changes in specifications to other manufacturer's
cots.
