4.3.2 Required tools
Fig. a , page A1. For assembly, you require the
following tools (put into the garage prior to the install-
ation of the door, if no other access is available):
• wooden folding rule or tape measure
• reversible ratchet with extension
• wrench set with SW 7, 10, 13 and T30 (if
required, also jaw spanners or socket wrenches)
• cross-tip screwdriver Phillips; size 2
• T30 screwdriver
• impact drill
• 10 mm drill (drill length at least 200 mm)
• chalk for marking
• cutter knife
• spirit level (min. 80 cm)
• hacksaw
• water pump pliers
• hammer
• chisel
• min. two screw clamps
• ladders and support aids, if required
• squared timbers, approx. 30 x 30 mm
• personal protective equipment

Assembling the door frame

Please refer to the picture section of the assembly in-
structions, meanwhile, follow the illustrations as
shown in the instructions.
The illustrations in these assembly
instructions depict the assembly of the door
version iso20-4 ZF. Unless otherwise
mentioned, the assembly steps and
explanations depicted also apply to the door
version iso45-5 ZF. Instructions deviating
from the ones shown are marked accordingly.
4.4.1 Preassembling the door frame
Place wood or similar underneath the angle
frames (1L/1R) to
scratches.
Fig. a , page A2. Connect the angle frame (1L/1R)
with the frame panel (3) by screwing them together
with the metal screws (pre-assembled).
Fig. b Mount the lower spring suspension (5) with
two screws (S6 + S12) each in the lower area of the
angle frames (1L/1R).
4.4.2 Mounting the wall anchors
Prior to mounting the wall anchors (7), check the
width stop and the place for the plugs on the ma-
sonry.
Depending on the stop width and the mounting condi-
tion, mount the wall anchors (7) by means of the
screws (S6 + S12) as follows:

Place the wall anchors (7) on the outside of the angle
frame.

the angle frame.
NOTICE Functional impairment of the tension
spring!
Do not place the nut (S12) inwards on
no account. This will cause a functional
impairment of the tension spring! Also
note the exception in Fig.
Fig. c If the distance between the garage wall and
the frame is less than 10 mm, additionally place a
washer (U4) underneath the screw (S6) and insert
the screw (S6) from the outside into the angle frame
so that the screw connection with the screw nut (S12)
is made from the inside.
4.4.3 Mounting the plugs for the door frame
Fig. a , page A4. Set up the door frame and place
it behind the driveway opening.
Secure the door frame against toppling over and pre-
cisely align it angular and in parallel by using the
spirit level.
Fig. b Mount the shutter holder (13) by clipping it on
the centre of the shutter (3).
Fig. c Pre-drill the holes for the plugs (Ø=10 mm)
with a depth of at least 65 mm (approx.). For this pur-
pose, it is best to use a rock drill with a length of
200 mm.

holder (13) and all angle frames with the screws (S8)
and the respective plugs (S9).
Fig. g For anchoring the frame to the ground, use
the screw (S8) in combination with the plug (S9) and
the washer (U1).
Fig. h Insert the screw (S6) into the lowest hole of
the angle frame (1L/1R) and fasten with the screw
nut (S12).
NOTICE Do not twist the angle frames (1R)
and (1L)!
When tightening the angle frames,
make sure not to twist or warp them. If
required, shim the angle frames with
suitable material. Hooks to place under-
neath which are suited for this purpose
can be purchased from Novoferm.
4.4.4 Preassembling the horizontal rail pairs
Fig. a Mount the connecting plate (18) with the
screws (S6 and S12). In doing so, note that the screw
heads (S6) are mounted towards the inside to the rail!
Fig. b Mount one corner connection bracket (20)
each to the rail pair (14L/14R) with the screws (S11).
