HEALIX TRANSTEND
Anchor
DESCRIPTION
See package label for anchor material.
1. TITANIUM (Ti). This is a Titanium threaded
suture anchor preloaded on a disposable inserter
assembly intended for fixation of one strand of #2
suture to bone. The implant is supplied sterile ready
to use.

2. PEEK (Polyetheretherketone). This is a poly­
etheretherketone (PEEK) threaded suture anchor
preloaded on a disposable inserter assembly
intended for fixation of one strand of #2 suture to
bone. The implant is supplied sterile ready to use.
OR
3. BIOCRYL
(PLGA/TCP) absorbable threaded suture anchor
preloaded on a disposable inserter assembly
intended for fixation of one strand of #2 suture to
bone. The implant is supplied sterile ready to use.
MATERIALS
• Handle: ABS
• Anchor:
• Titanium (Ti) or
• PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) or
• BIOCRYL RAPIDE (BR) which is a composite
made of absorbable Poly (lactidecoglycolide)
polymer and Tricalcium phosphate (TCP).
• Shaft: Stainless steel
• Suture: ORTHOCORD
sterile, braided, composite suture composed of
dyed (D&C Violet #2) absorbable polydiaxanone
(PDS ) and un­dyed non­absorbable polyethylene.

The partially absorbable suture is coated with a
copolymer of 90% caprolactone and 10% glycolide.
The PDS copolymer has been shown to be
nonantigenic, nonpyrogenic and elicits only a slight
tissue reaction during absorption.
