Input module 2AI2M12E
The input module is equipped with 2 input connections for sensors. These are designed as M12
sockets, female, 5-pin, A-coded.
The connection ID for
input channel 1 is X2N1,
input channel 2 is X2N2.
The sensor voltage is supplied via pin 1 and pin 3.
See Table 6 for the pin assignments of the input connections X2N1 to X2N2.

The cable from the device to connections X2N1 and X2N2 must be shielded. The shield must be
connected to pin 5.
The cable length must not exceed 30 m. The total current for all sensor supplies on an input module
must not exceed 0.5 A.
Maximum input voltage on the signal inputs:
Voltage measurement range: ±12 V
Current measurement range: ±5 V

LEDs

The I/O modules have only module-related LEDs and no channel-related LEDs. The module-related
LEDs (1), (2), and (3). are for voltage and diagnosis monitoring.
The channel-related LEDs (9) are not present with analog modules; however, the semi-circular
optical conductors are visible due to the design.
Table 7 describes the functions of the LEDs. For a comprehensive description of the LEDs, see "8
