6.1.6

Pressure measurement module 4VP4D4

The pressure measurement module 4VP4D4 records pressure values using its internal pressure
sensors. It translates these values into digital input data that is sent to the controller. The length of
the input data is 4 x 8 bits. The assignment of the input data is dependent on the permanently
programmed function of the modules, which is described in sections 6.3.11 "Pressure measurement
module 4VP4D4" on page 113 and 6.3.12 "Data formats and value ranges for the pressure
measurement module 4VP4D4" on page 113.
Depending on the fieldbus system used, this data can be placed in any position in the process image.
6.2

Diagnostic data

As with diagnostic data for the valve drivers, the diagnostic data for the I/O modules is transmitted
as a group diagnosis. See the system descriptions for the respective bus couplers for further
information.
If you want to monitor a sensor with "4–20 mA" signal for a wire break, you can use the
measurement range 0–20 mA. The PLC then allows you to define the measurement range 0–
4 mA with any threshold for detecting the wire break.
6.2.1

Input module 2AI2M12E and 4AI4M12E

The input module diagnostic message consists of a diagnosis bit.
The diagnostic bit can be read as follows:
Bit = 1: An error has occurred.
Bit = 0: No error has occurred.
The diagnosis bit is sent for the following errors:
short circuit of the supply voltage to the sensor,
an error in the analog part (data, supply voltage).
6.2.2

Combination module 2AI2AO2M12AE

The combination module diagnostic message consists of a diagnosis bit.
The diagnostic bit can be read as follows:
Bit = 1: An error has occurred.
Bit = 0: No error has occurred.
The diagnosis bit is sent for the following errors:
short circuit of the supply voltage to the actuator,
an error in the analog part (data, supply voltage),
with a diagnostic message from the driver of an output channel,
– due to driver overheating,
– or overload in the "voltage output" mode,
– or wire break in the "current output" mode
when no voltage is applied to X1S.
