12. Instrumentenpflege – Spezielle Vorkehrungen
Angemessene Handhabung, Dekontamination, inklusive Vorspülen, Waschen, Abspülen und
Sterilisation, Aufbewahrung und Verwendung sind entscheidend für eine lange und zweck-
gemäße Lebensdauer aller chirurgischen Instrumente. Doch auch bei korrektem Gebrauch,
korrekter Wartung und Pflege kann nicht von einer unbegrenzten Lebensdauer ausgegangen
werden. Dies gilt insbesondere für schneidende Instrumente und kraftgeführte Instrumente. Die-
se Instrumente und deren Einzelbestandteile werden oft hohen Belastungen und/oder Einschlag-
kräften ausgesetzt. Unter derartigen Bedingungen, besonders, wenn das Instrument korrodiert,
beschädigt, gekerbt oder zerkratzt ist, können Defekte auftreten.
Bitte tauschen Sie unbrauchbar gewordene Instrumente gegen neue aus. Untersuchen Sie alle
Instrumente vor Gebrauch sorgfältig. Verwenden Sie auf keinen Fall ein Instrument, das beschä-
digt oder abgenutzt ist, dessen Lasergravur unleserlich ist und auch kein schneidendes Instrument
mit stumpfen Schneiden.

Improper implantation of the prosthesis can lead to failure, implant failure, patient injury, bone
loss, or unsatisfactory aesthetic results. The products may only be used by trained physicians and
surgeons who are familiar with the implant system. Use of these products requires specialised
knowledge and skills in endoprosthetic/surgical implantology. AQ Implants GmbH offers specific
training and technical consultation on the use of its products and provides detailed information
for appropriate implant selection as well as preoperative planning and surgical technique. Our
products are sold only to physicians and healthcare professionals or on their behalf.
Technical consultation on our products will be performed verbally or in writing, by electronic
media, and/or by demonstration. Consultation reflects the latest state of science and technology
at the time of the product launch. It does not relieve the user from the obligation to personally
verify suitability of the product in terms of intended purpose, indications, and procedures. Hand-
ling and implantation of the product are beyond our control and are the responsibility of the user.
Any liability for damages shall be excluded.
1. Product description and intended use
The REVISIO RTM endoprosthesis system was developed for complex applications in tumour

surgery. Due to the high modularity of the REVISIO
the proximal and distal femur as well as the diaphysis up to the complete femur can be replaced.
The REVISIO RTM implant system also features an arthrodesis spacer for joint arthrodesis of
®
the knee joint as well as the REVISIO ® RTM condylar replacement to maintain the mobility of
the knee joint. The REVISIO ® RTM endofemoral module which is introduced through the femur
connecting hip and knee implant represents an expansion of the REVISIO
developed to minimise bone loss in the femur by preserving the diaphyseal femur.
The modular implant components are available in various diameters and lengths ensuring an
adequate reconstruction of the individual defect.
The individual modules are connected by means of tapered clamping and additional fixation via
a specific screw system.
The combination of implant components depends on the indication and is the responsibility of
the surgeon.
