6.4 Set the installation equipment to the
right

The setting of the installation equipment on the right
hand side of the vehicle is carried out as for the left
hand side.
6.5 Set the installation equipment on the

drive axis

1. Pull the clamping lever on the hand grip.
 The clamp unit will be opened
2. Latch the installation equipment lightly to the rear
and set it to the new position via the available rolls.

3. Check whether the installation equipment is sitting on
the correct rail.
4. Check whether the mirror is set at the middle position
of the latching equipment (fig. 25, item 1)!

5. Set the installation equipment using the vertical in-
stallation equipment. For this turn the knurled screw
(fig. 25, item 2 and check the adjustment by using
the spirit level on the reflector (fig. 12, item 4).
6. Set the values shown on the diagnosis system for the
horizontal (H) and vertical (V) mirror adjustment on the
installation equipment.

The mirror is now set on the drive axis of the vehicle
to be tested (requirement for the optical basic instal-
lation).

6.6 Height adjustment of the mirror unit

The mirror unit can be hung and locked at four dif-
ferent heights (according to vehicle type).

The centre of the mirror should conform in an opti-
mal way with the centre axis of the radar.
i
Take the adjusted height from your diagnosis system.
i
Alternatively measure the distance of the middle axis
of the ACC sensor of the vehicle from the floor.

Two-hand operation: Use the handle to keep the mir-
ror unit from lowering too quickly before actuating
the release.
1. Place latching equipment in the central position.
2. Place in position in front of the mirror.
3. Loosen both the lower knurled screws.
4. Loosen an upper knurled screw.
5. Hold and secure the mirror unit with a hand.
6. Loosen the second upper knurled screw.
7. Move the mirror unit carefully on the grid.
8. Move and position the mirror carefully in the deter-
mined rest position.
9. Tighten the 4 knurled-head screws.
10. Test whether the mirror unit is tightly anchored.
