8. When the desired tension is achieved confirm
that the implant is still inserted or attached to the
shoulder of the pusher. If the implant has backed
out during the tensioning process, tap it back to
the desired depth. The tension on the suture may
need to be released to allow the anchor to go
back in the hole.
9. Deploy the anchor by gently applying downward
pressure on the handle of the VERSALOK gun and
fully pulling the trigger on the VERSALOK gun.
10. If the tension wheel was used, release the suture
by pressing the suture release button.
11. Slowly remove the gun from the shaft by pressing
the metal shaft release button. It might be
necessary to grasp the suture below the wheel
while removing the gun from the shaft.
12. Place gentle tension on the suture and unthread
the shaft by rotating the shaft with backwards
tension in a counter-clockwise direction. Once
unthreaded, completely remove the shaft and trim
the excess suture.
13. Additional VERSALOK anchors may be implanted
following the same technique.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR REINSERTING THREADER
TAB
Place the Shaft (3) and Threader Tab (2) in the same
orientation as seen on the illustration. Insert each
wire loop of the Threader Tab (2) through each oval
hole on the anchor pin (6).
STORAGE
Store in a cool dry place below 26°C (80°F), away
from moisture and direct heat. Discard if open but
unused.
Do not use after expiration date.
STERILIZATION
The VERSALOK suture anchor is provided sterile.
Do not resterilize.
A DEPUy MITEK ANCHOR MUST NEVER BE
