Operating instructions Motor Hoes
Operating times
Comply with the national/municipal
regulations concerning the times
when the machine may be used
(if required, contact your local
authority).
Hoeing
Caution
Possible damage to the
machine or in the area of use.
Do not work on any surfaces below
which gas or power lines, or similar,
are located.
Do not work close to trees other-
wise the machine may cut through
the roots.
Do not work on soggy ground;
lumps of earth can be caught by the
hoeing assembly and thrown out.
If foreign bodies, e.g. stones, are
encountered by the hoeing device,
stop the machine, switch it off and
check it for damage.
Repeated and progressive depth
hoeing gives the best results.
This allows previously-deposited
compost to be absorbed into the soil.
A harvested field is recultivated with
the remaining plant remains.
Fig. 1
Adjust rotovating depth accor-
ding to the condition of the
ground. Hoe hard ground in
progressive stages.
Move the transportation wheel
(5) into the tilling position (see
"Setting the transportation
wheel").
Start the engine (see "Starting the
engine").
Press and hold locking lever (2)
(Fig. 8).
Pull or press clutch lever (3)
against the bar handle and grip it
(Fig. 8).
Release locking lever (2) (Fig. 8).
The hoeing depth and speed are
influenced by lowering or raising
the guiding bar or handle:
lowered, to hoe deeper and more
slowly, or raised for the opposite.
Work the surface in a criss-cross
pattern (see Fig. 6).
Cultivation
Set a shallow hoeing depth in
order to protect the root system
of cultivated plants.
Switching off the unit
Fig. 1
Release the clutch lever (3).
Set the throttle lever (1) to
/STOP.
Turn off the petrol tap
(depending on model).

Transportation

Moving the machine

For manoeuvring or traversing short

the tiller blades no longer touch
the ground.
Move the machine carefully.
Transportation with
a suitable vehicle
Danger of injury
!
Before transportation

transporting the unit. Filler cap
must be closed tightly.
Transport the machine in
a horizontal position in or on
