Stopping the engine

Put the throttle lever (17) to the position
Put the ignition switch (18) to the position
Put the fuel valve (33)
Do NOT put the choke lever (32)
closed to stop the engine. This may result in backfire or
engine damages.

Stopping the engine in an EMERGENCY

Put the ignition switch (18) to the position

Starting with warm engine

Put the choke lever (32)
open.
Put the throttle (17) approx. 1/3 toward the position

Put the fuel valve (33)
Put the ignition switch (18) to the position
Grasp and slowly pull the cranking rope handle (34)
until you feel a resistance.
Pull the cranking rope (35) quickly and then guide it
back slowly.
Do not fully pull out the cranking rope and do not allow
that the rope handle strikes against the engine.
Put the throttle (17) slowly toward the position

Before start of work

Before starting any work ensure the following:
You may not start to operate the machine until you have read
these operating instructions, observed all the instructions
given and installed the machine as described!
Provide for a safe and cleaned workplace. Remove from the
working area objects which might be thrown off.
Before starting your work make sure that:
− the tools and bolts are not worn or damaged. To avoid
any unbalance worn or damaged tools and bolts must
only be replaced as a whole set.
− the hoeing tools are in a proper condition
− all screw connections are firmly tighten
− no other persons (children) or animals stay close the
working area
− you can always step back without any barriers,
− you have always a secure standing position.

Working with the motor hoe

This machine can be used to break up and aerate soil.
Risk of injury by flying around objects.
Make sure that the protective cover and the hoeing tools
are properly assembled.
Adjusting the hoeing width
Before working on the hoeing tool:
− Stop the engine.
− Wait until the tools come to a stop.
− Remove the spark plug connector.
This motor hoe can be used for a working width of 60 or 80
cm.
Hoeing width 60 cm:
The already mounted double hoeing tools (2) result in a
working width of 60 cm.
Protective discs are already mounted to protect plants,
fences and borders.
Hoeing width 80 cm:
Pull the spring cotter pin (43) from the bolt (45) and
then remove the bolt (45) from the axle.
After that you can remove the protective discs (4).
Slide the single hoeing tool RH (3a) and the single
hoeing tool LH (3b) in the relevant tube of the double hoeing
tools.
Pay attention to the correct position of the hoeing tools.
(The tool blades must show towards the working direction.)
Secure the hoeing tools using the bolts (45) and spring
cotter pins (43).
Hoeing width 80 cm
Slide the protective discs (4) in the tube of the hoeing
tools on the left and right side and secure them using each
one bolt (45) and one spring cotter pin (43).
Steering handle / adjusting the operating height
Before starting your work adjust the steering handles to your
desired operating height. The steering handle can be adjusted to
three different positions.
Remove the spring cotter pin (43) and pull out the
angled bolt (27) from the steering handle.
Move the steering handle to your desired position.
Re-insert the bolt (27) and secure it using the spring cotter
pin.
