Rotate the flywheel in the direction of engine rota
tion (counterclockwise) until the piston is at the end of
its compression stroke (valves closed). In this position,

tion hole rim.

Rotate the flywheel clockwise until mark « 3» (static
advance) coincides with mark « 1 » on the i nspection
hole rim.
