4.4.13 Interposing Current
Transformer
When a Source Ground Return Earth fault
scheme is used an Earth leg Current transformer
must be installed externally and connected to
the trip unit input. (see 4.4.14)
An Interposing Current Transformer (Fig.1) is
then installed in the breaker to allow the Trip
Unit to read the input of the Earth Leg Current
Transformer correctly.
When a breaker is ordered with a Trip Unit that
has the Source Ground Earth fault option
installed the Interposing Current Transformer is
mounted in the plant.
If a field mountable Trip Unit with Source
Ground Earth fault option is supplied the
interposing Current Transformer is included with
the appropriate mounting and connection
instructions.

4.4.14 Earth Leg Current
Transformer
When a Source Ground Return Earth fault
scheme is used an Earth leg Current transformer
must be installed externally and connected to
the trip unit input. (see page 2.45)
The devices can be installed connected at
distances up to 50 meters from the breaker and
can be connected by using standard 1 or 1.5 sq.
mm. wires.
In the Earth Leg Current Transformer packaging
appropriate mounting and connection
instructions are included.

4.4.13 Zwischenstromwandler
Wenn ein Erdschlussfehlerschutzsystem (nach
Erdschluss-Schutzart (Typ SEF)) angewendet
wird, so muss ein Erdschlussstromwandler
extern installiert und an den Auslöseeinheiten
Eingang angeschlossen werden. (Siehe 4.4.14)
Ein Zwischenstromwandler (Abb.1) ist dann in
der Schutzschalter installiert, damit die
Auslöseeinheit die Meldung des
Erdschlussstromwandlers richtig erfassen kann.
Wenn ein Leistungsschalter mit einer
Auslöseeinheit und mit Erdschlussfehlerschutz-
Systemfunktion bestellt wird, so wird der
Zwischenstromwandler gleich in der
Gerätefertigung montiert.
Wenn eine vorort montierbare Auslöseeinheit
mit Erdschlussfehlerschutz-Systemfunktion
geliefert wird, so wird der
Zwischenstromwandler mit den entsprechenden
Anweisungen für die Montage und den
Anschluss mitgeliefert.

4.4.14 Erdschlussstromwandler
Wenn ein Erdschlussfehlerschutzsystem (nach
Erdschluss-Schutzart (Typ SEF)) angewendet
wird, so muss ein Erdschlussstromwandler
extern installiert und an den Auslöseeinheiten
Eingang angeschlossen werden. (Siehe 2.45)
Das Gerät kann innerhalb einer Entfernung bis
zu 50 m Abstand zum Leistungsschalter
installiert werden und kann mit Standard-
Leiterquerschnitten zwischen 1 und 1,5 mm²
angeschlossen werden.
In der Erdschlussstromwandler Verpackung
befindet sich auch eine Montage- und
Anschlussanleitung.

4.4.13 Trasformatore di isolamento
Quando viene utilizzato lo schema di protezione
da guasto a terra con ritorno a massa deve
essere installato esternamente un trasformatore
di collegamento a terra, collegato con l'ingresso
del Relè di Protezione (vedere 4.4.14).
Sull'interruttore viene quindi installato un
trasformatore di isolamento (Fig.1) che consente
al Relè di Protezione di leggere correttamente
l'ingresso del trasformatore di isolamento.
Quando un interruttore è ordinato con un Relè
di Protezione con opzione di protezione da
guasto a terra con ritorno a massa installata, il
trasformatore di isolamento viene montato in
fabbrica.
Se viene fornito un Relè di Protezione da
assemblare in loco con protezione da guasto a
terra con ritorno a massa, nel kit è compreso un
trasformatore di isolamento corredato di
appropriate istruzioni di montaggio e
collegamento.
4.4.14 Trasformatore di corrente di
collegamento a terra
Quando viene utilizzato lo schema di protezione
da guasto a terra con ritorno a massa deve
essere installato esternamente un trasformatore
di collegamento a terra, collegato con l'ingresso
del Relè di Protezione (vedere pagina 2.45).
I dispositivi possono essere installati a distanze
non superiori a 50 metri dall'interruttore e
possono essere collegati utilizzando cavi
standard da 1 or 1,5 mm2.
La confezione del trasformatore di corrente di
collegamento a terra contiene tutte le istruzioni
di connessione e montaggio.
