4.2 MOTOR OPERATOR
Electrical Charging mechanism (motor)
In order to charge the stored energy mechanism
electrically a motor charging mechanism is
available. The design allows factory or field
mounting and is available for the full range of
ME10 breakers. It is easily fitted with just three
bolts.
When the circuit breaker is opened the
mechanism automatically recharges the springs
and prepares the breaker for an almost
instantaneous re-closure should the need arise.
High speed recharging ensures that the springs
are fully charged within four seconds.
A "springs charged" contact remotely indicates
the status of the device.
Installation of Motor Operator
1. The breaker should be safely isolated and
fully withdrawn to disconnected position.
2. Remove the fascia
3. Slide the sleeve (coupling bush) on the
camshaft as shown in Fig. B.
4. Orient the device as shown in Fig. C, locating
the gearbox bearing on to the cam drive shaft,
pushing it until it is flush with the mechanism
side. Gently pulling the charging handle down
will help if difficulties are experienced in
mounting the device correctly. (see Fig. D.)
5. Rotate the motor operator to align the 3
mounting holes in the side sheet. Mount the
device using the tapped holes in the gearbox
assembly and the supplied three M5 bolts .
Torque to 7Nm.
6. Assemble the cam on the cam drive shaft
while pressing the two switch levers as indicated
in Fig. E.
7. Assemble the M8 nylock nut at the end of the
camshaft and torque to 14.5 N m as shown in
Fig. F.

4.2 MOTORANTRIEB
Elektrische Spanneinheit (motorisiert)
Der Motorantrieb wird zum elektrischen
Spannen der Energiespeichermechanik
verwendet. Die Bauart ist als werkseinbau oder
vorort-montierbares Teil für die gesamte
Schalterreihe verfügbar. Er wird mit nur 3
Schrauben befestigt. Wenn der
Leistungsschalter geöffnet wird, spannt der
Mechanismus automatisch die Federn und
bereitet den Schalter für eine Schnellschließung
vor, falls die Notwendigkeit für einen solchen
Vorgang besteht. Durch Hochgeschwindigkeit-
Spannvorgänge wird sichergestellt, dass die

Federn innerhalb von vier Sekunden wieder
gespannt sind. Ein zusätzlicher "Federspann"-
Kontakt steht zur Status-Fernanzeige des
Schalters zur Verfügung.
Einbau des Motorantriebs:
1. Der Leistungsschalter muss sicher getrennt,
d.h. vollständig aus dem Einschubträger in die
TRENN-Stellung gebracht sein.
2. Entfernen Sie die Leistungsschalter-
Frontabdeckung, s.u.
3. Schieben Sie die Aufsteckhülse (Kupplung) auf
die Welle, wie in Abb. B gezeigt.
4. Orientieren Sie das Gerät wie in Abb. C
dargestellt, lokalisieren Sie das Getriebe zur
Antriebswelle, drücken Sie es an, wenn es sich
bündig mit der Mechanikseite befindet. Ziehen
Sie den Spannhebel leicht an, wenn der Antrieb
nicht genau einsetzbar ist. (siehe Abb. D)
5. Drehen Sie den Motorantrieb um die 3
Montagelöcher im Tragblech anzupassen.
Montieren Sie das Gerät mit drei M5 Schrauben
durch die Löcher an die Getriebeplatte,
Drehmoment bis 7 Nm.
6. Montieren Sie die Steuerkurve über die
Steuerkurven-Antriebswelle, während Sie die
zwei Schalterhebel wie in Abb. E gezeigt,
andrücken.
7. Setzen Sie die M8 Mutter aufs Ende der
Nockenwelle und drehen Sie sie mit 14,5 Nm
Drehmoment wie in Abb. F dargestellt fest.
8. Spannen Sie die Antriebsfedern manuell mit
dem Spannhebel um sicherzustellen, dass der

4.2 MOTORE DI RICARICA MOLLE
Meccanismo di carica elettrica (motore)
Per caricare il meccanismo di accumulo di
energia elettricamente è disponibile un
meccanismo a motore. Il design del motore
consente il montaggio in fabbrica o in loco. Il
motore è disponibile per l'intera gamma di
interruttori ME10. Il motore è montabile
facilmente con solo tre bulloni.Quando
l'interruttore viene aperto il meccanismo ricarica
automaticamente le molle e prepara
l'interruttore in caso fosse necessaria una
richiusura quasi istantanea. L'alta velocità di
ricarica assicura che le molle siano totalmente
cariche entro quattro secondi.
Un contatto di "molle cariche" indica in remoto lo
stato del dispositivo.
Installazione del motore di ricarica molle
1. L'interruttore deve essere isolato in modo
sicuro e completamente estratto in posizione
DISCONNECTED.
2. Togliere la copertura anteriore
3. Far scorrere il manicotto (anello di
accoppiamento) sull'albero a camma come
mostrato in Fig. B.
4. Orientare il dispositivo come mostrato in Fig.
C, individuando il cuscinetto riduttore sull'albero
a camma, spingendolo a filo con il lato del
meccanismo. Tirare delicatamente la leva di
carico manuale verso il basso aiuterà in caso di
difficoltà nel corretto montaggio del dispositivo.

5. Ruotare il motore di ricarica molle per
allineare i 3 fori nel fianco laterale. Montare il
dispositivo utilizzando i fori filettati del riduttore e
le tre viti M5 in dotazione. Serrare con una
coppia di 7 Nm.
6. Montare la camma sull'albero di azionamento
a camme premendo le due leve di
commutazione come indicato in Fig. E.
7. Assemblare il dado nylock M8 sulla parte
terminale dell'albero a camme e serrare con una
coppia di 14,5 N m come mostrato nella Fig. F.
8. Caricare manualmente le molle con la leva di
carico e verificare che il motore sia montato
correttamente.
Removal of Front cover
1. Remove pad locks, installed if any.
2. Unscrew the 6 [Env. T = 4] screws (6Nm, 4.42ft-lbs) using a Pozidrive screw driver
as shown in Fig. A&B.
3. Rotate the charging handle down and slide the front
cover over the handle to remove out as shown in Fig. C.
Abbau der Frontabdeckung
1. Entfernen Sie installierte Vorhängeschlösser.
2. Lösen Sie die 6 [Baugr. T = 4] Schrauben (6Nm) mit einem Pozidrive-
Schraubenzieher wie in Abb. A&B dargestellt.
unten, während Sie die Abdeckung für den Abbau nach oben über den Hebel heben,
wie in Abb. C.
Rimozione della copertura anteriore
1. Se installati, rimuovere I lucchetti.
2. Svitare le 6 [Taglia T = 4] viti (6Nm, 4.42ft-lbs) utilizzando un cacciavite Pozidriv
come mostrato in Fig.A&B.
3. Abbassare la leva di carica manuale e far scorrere
la copertura anteriore sopra la maniglia per rimuoverla, come mostrato in Fig. C.
