The Camera : Basic Picture Taking
Taking and Viewing Your First Photo
Taking Still Images:
(PROGRAM) Mode
1. Insert the memory card (refer to page 83) and connect a
power source (refer to page 27).
2. Turn your camera on by setting the Power Switch to
(CAMERA) mode and turn the Mode Dial to select
(PROGRAM) mode.
3. Frame your subject.

Frame your subject using the LCD monitor or the
viewfinder.
I
Use the Zoom Lever to zoom in or zoom out.
4. Set the focus by pressing the PHOTO button halfway down.
I
Locate your main subject inside the focus area
indicated by
, then press the PHOTO button
halfway down to focus on your main subject.
I
You can move your camera to the desired framing
after the focus is locked.
I
Depending on lighting conditions, the built-in flash
may pop up.
5. Fully press the PHOTO button to take the picture.
I
The picture is taken and saved into the memory card
within few seconds.
I
Taking another picture within this interval is not
possible.
I
The Memory Card indicator will blink during the time it
takes to save the image.
Taking Still Images: EASYQ Mode
✤ EASYQ mode is the most convenient, fully automatic camera mode.
With one press of the EASYQ button, the camera is automatically set
to create the best results under various conditions.
✤ You can switch to EASYQ mode from any camera modes excepting
(MOVIE) and
(PLAY) modes. Press the EASYQ button again
to return to the previous mode.
Reference
✤ The Auto Power Off feature is designed to save the battery power.
If there is no operation for more than 5 minutes, the camera will
automatically turn off. To resume camera operation, press the
START/STOP button once.

PROGRAM-Modus
1. Legen Sie eine Speicherkarte ein (siehe Seite 83), und
versorgen Sie das Gerät mit Strom (siehe Seite 27).
2. Schalten Sie die Kamera ein, indem Sie den Hauptschalter
auf
(AUFNAHME <CAMERA>) stellen. Stellen Sie den
Moduswahlschalter auf
3. Erfassen Sie das gewünschte Objekt.

Verwenden Sie dazu den LCD-Bildschirm oder den Sucher.

Verwenden Sie die Zoomfunktion.
4. Stellen Sie das Bild scharf, indem Sie die Taste FOTO
<PHOTO> halb herunterdrücken.

Fangen Sie das Hauptobjekt innerhalb des
Fokusbereichs
<PHOTO> halb herunter, um die Bildschärfe auf das
Hauptobjekt einzustellen.

Nachdem die Bildschärfe eingestellt wurde, können Sie die
Kamera innerhalb des gewünschten Rahmens schwenken.

Je nach Lichtverhältnissen wird ein Blitz ausgelöst.
5. Lösen Sie die Aufnahme aus, indem Sie die Taste FOTO
<PHOTO> vollständig herunterdrücken.

Die Aufnahme wird ausgelöst. Das Bild wird innerhalb
weniger Sekunden auf der Speicherkarte gespeichert.
I
In diesem kurzen Zeitraum ist eine weitere Aufnahme
nicht möglich.

Die Speicheranzeige blinkt, während das Bild gespeichert
wird.
Standbilder aufnehmen: EASYQ-Modus
✤ Der EASYQ-Modus ist ein praktischer, voll automatischer
Aufnahmemodus. Es genügt, die Taste EASYQ einmal kurz zu drücken,
und schon erstellt die Kamera unter verschiedenen Bedingungen
automatisch die besten Aufnahmen.
✤ Sie können aus jedem Aufnahmemodus in den EASYQ-Modus wechseln;
außer aus den Modi
(FILM <MOVIE>) und
<PLAY>). Drücken Sie die Taste EASYQ erneut, um in den vorherigen
Modus zurückzukehren.
Hinweis
✤ Die Funktion Autom. Aus <Auto Power Off> verlängert die Lebensdauer
der Batterie. Wird die Kamera mehr als 5 Minuten nicht benutzt, schaltet
sie sich automatisch aus. Drücken Sie einmal auf die Taste START/
STOPP <START/STOP>, um die Kamera wieder einzuschalten.
