The Camcorder : Advanced Recording
Taking Photos
✤ You may take still images while in REC mode and
store the images on tape. This function is useful
when you want to take a snapshot of a subject
while you are using the Camcorder.
✤ If you want to take a higher resolution still image,
switch to
(CAMERA) mode (refer to page 99).
✤ You can take photos using the remote control.
✤ You can search still pictures recorded on a tape
(refer to page 76).
1. Turn your camcorder on by setting the Power Switch to REC mode.

2. Press the PHOTO button halfway down to focus the image.

3. Within 2 seconds, fully press down the PHOTO button and then
release it to record the picture.
If you do not want to record, release the PHOTO button before
fully pressing it down.

It takes about 6 ~ 7 seconds to record the still image onto the
tape.
4. The camcorder returns to STBY (Stand-by) mode.

✤ Pressing the PHOTO button while recording stops the recording
and saves the still image captured at that moment. It takes approx.
6 ~ 7 seconds to save the image and then resumes the recording.
✤ You can use the remote control to take a photo by using the
PHOTO button on the remote control. Pressing the PHOTO button
on the remote control records the still image at once with automatic
focusing.

Fotos aufnehmen
✤ Im REC-Modus besteht die Möglichkeit, Standbilder
aufzunehmen und auf Kassette zu speichern. Diese
Funktion ist von Vorteil, wenn Sie im Camcorder-
Betrieb einen Schnappschuss machen möchten.
✤ Für Aufnahmen mit höherer Auflösung sollten Sie in den
Modus
(AUFNAHME) wechseln (siehe Seite 99).
✤ Fotos können auch mit der Fernbedienung
geschossen werden.
✤ Die Suche nach auf Kassette gespeicherten
Standbildern ist möglich (siehe Seite 76).
1. Schalten Sie den Camcorder ein, indem Sie mit dem Hauptschalter
den REC-Modus einstellen.

Auf dem LCD-Bildschirm wird STBY angezeigt.
2. Drücken Sie die Taste FOTO <PHOTO> halb nach unten, um das
Bild scharf zu stellen.

3. Drücken Sie innerhalb von zwei Sekunden die Taste FOTO
<PHOTO> ganz herunter und lassen Sie sie anschließend los, um
das Foto aufzunehmen.
Möchten Sie die Aufnahme doch nicht machen, lassen Sie die Taste
FOTO <PHOTO> los, bevor Sie sie ganz herunterdrücken.

Das Speichern eines Standbilds auf Kassette nimmt ca. 6–7
Sekunden in Anspruch.
4. Der Camcorder kehrt in den Modus STBY (Standby) zurück.
Hinweise
✤ Durch Drücken der Taste FOTO <PHOTO> wird die Videoaufnahme
unterbrochen, und das gerade erfasste Standbild wird gespeichert.
Das Speichern der Aufnahme nimmt 6 bis 7 Sekunden in Anspruch.
Anschließend wird die Videoaufnahme fortgesetzt.
✤ Die Aufnahme von Standbildern ist auch über die Fernbedienung
möglich. Drücken Sie dazu die Taste FOTO <PHOTO> auf der
Fernbedienung. Durch Drücken der Taste FOTO <PHOTO> auf der
Fernbedienung wird das Standbild sofort mit Autofokus
aufgenommen.
