27, 28 clamps for the telephone
You can attach an additional telephone to these clamps.
Most telephones have a TAE cable with 2 or 4 leads. You only need 2 of these leads to connect
to the alarm control centre. These two leads are labelled La and Lb. Please also refer to your
telephone operating instructions.
Generally there are two different standards for telephones. The figure shows the western tele-
phone plug.
In one of the standard versions, the two middle leads are La and Lb (also referred to
as international standard).
In the other standard version, the next two leads outwards are La and Lb (also referred
to as national standard).
29 Ground clamp
This clamp is the central earthing contact. You should connect this clamp with a close-by earth connection
(e.g. waterpipe, house earth cable) to avoid power mains disturbance or radio disturbance.
Use a cable with a minimum diameter of 0.5 mm .
