7. Installation

To ensure proper mounting and operation, please read the complete operating instructions
thoroughly before you use the product!
Ensure that the alarm control centre is non-charged and without power supply during installa-
tion.
Be careful not to accidentally damage any electric cables, gas or water pipes, there is a risk
of injury or death!
When selecting an installation location for your system, make sure it is not exposed to direct
solar radiation, vibrations, heat, cold and moisture.
The device must not be set up in the vicinity of other devices with strong magnetic fields.
There should be no devices with strong electrical fields such as mobile telephones, radios and electrical
motors etc in the vicinity of device and its components. These could negatively effect the device's opera-
tion.
There must be a TAE telephone socket and a mains power socket close to the alarm control centre.
Things to consider before installing the alarm control centre and its components
Before actually mounting the alarm control centre and its components you should use a blueprint of the
premises to be protected to create a plan and then record this plan as a sketch or similar. Draw in the
sensors of the doors, windows, rooms etc to be secured.
Observe the characteristics of the individual sensors (e.g. detection angle of a movement sensor). This
sketch allows you to estimate the possible materials requirements (i.e. length and lead number of cables,
number of movement sensors, door/window sensors etc).
In addition you should take into account the alarm control centre characteristics. The alarm control centre
has so-called differential loops to which you need to attach individual monitoring components.
The individual loops are pre-programmed. The programming can be changed at any time.
The loops 1 and 2 (Zone 1, Zone 2) are programmed with exit (30 seconds) and entry (60 seconds) delays
(DELAY, see figure A-1) i.e. the alarm sounding only occurs after the programmed delay period.
This is particularly useful if you attach sensors that signal alarm before you disarm the alarm to these loops.
The loops 3, 4, 5 and 6 (Zone 3, Zone 4, Zone 5 and Zone 6) sound the alarm immediately (INSTANT, see
figure A-1) if the armed alarm control centre recognises a change in the resistance in the loop. These loops
should be used for magnet contacts or similar.
The exit delay is, however, active for loops 3, 4, 5 and 6 (Zone 3, Zone 4, Zone 5 and Zone 6).
The loops 7 and 8 (Zone 7 and Zone 8) are programmed to sound in 24 hour mode (24-HR, see figure A-1) i.e.
the alarm sounding occurs even when the alarm control centre is disarmed. This is particularly suited to
sabotage contacts, smoke or broken glass sensors.
