7.1.3 Installing the control panel

The control panel allows you to undertake all programming and settings.
Installation location
The control panel should not be mounted directly next to the alarm control centre. It should be mount-
ed in an easily accessible but protected (e.g. with a movement sensor) location at the entry point or a
central part of the building which is to be protected.
Contact with moisture, such as in bathrooms, external areas etc must be avoided.
Make sure that there are no electrical cables, water pipes etc. near the place you want to drill.
Proceed as follows to ensure correct installation:
• Unscrew the screw on the underside of the control panel.
• Remove the mounting bracket from the rear of the control panel.
• Use the holes in the mounting bracket as a drilling template and mark the position of the mounting holes.
• Drill the mounting holes.
• Attach the mounting bracket on the wall with suitable mounting materials.
• Affix the control panel to the mounting bracket.
• Tighten the screw on the underside of the control panel.

7.1.4 Installing the panic button

The panic button is designed to immediately sound the alarm. Pressing the panic button signals to the
alarm control centre that the alarm should be sounded immediately. Thus the button should be attached
to a 24 hour loop.
Installation location
Find a central and easily accessible location to mount the panic button.
