30 and 31 clamps for telephone connection
These clamps serve for connecting the alarm control centre to the telephone network. You can connect the
alarm control centre direct to the telephone line or an auxiliary line of you phone.
Ensure that the La and Lb clamps in thetelephone socket
are connected to the alarm control centre.
It is not permitted to open the first telephone socket pro-
vided by your network provider and make the attachment
there. If you cause technical problems as a result, the
cost of repair may be your liability.
Rechargeable battery connection:
The two loose cables in the alarm control centre (red and black) are for the connection of a 12 V / 7 Ah
backup battery (lead acid rechargeable = not included in delivery) You need this to ensure the full operati-
on of the surveillance unit during electricity outages.
Connect the red cable to the plus and the black cable to the minus terminal of the battery.
Ensure the correct polarity to ensure the alarm control centre is not badly damaged.
Only attach the battery once programming is completed, as otherwise the alarm control centre
will register an error via the sabotage contact and you will not be able to programme the alarm
control centre.
You should always operate the alarm control centre with a battery in place, as otherwise the
system no longer functions during an electricity outage.
DAP-link-plug
This link-plug has an emergency function. If you forget your programming code, you can reach the pro-
gramming mode (see Chapter "10. Programming") using this plug.
The DAP link-plug is located on the alarm control centre circuit board.
D.T. -link-plug
The D.T. link-plug is used to set the telephone connection dial tone.
The D.T. link-plug is located on the alarm control centre circuit board.

Check the dial tone by picking up a phone attached to the alarm control centre. If the link-plug
is bridged incorrectly, the alarm control centre will signal an error in the phone line when it is
armed.
