9. Operation
a) Installing the telescopic aerial on the remote control
Put the telescopic aerial through the hole in the top of the remote control and screw it tight (turn ist clockwise). Do not
use and force and no tools to attach the aerial.
b) Inserting batteries/rechargeable batteries into the remote control
If you have not already done so, insert batteries/rechargeable batteries into the remote control. Observe the correct
polarity (positive/+ and negative/-) as indicated in the battery compartment of the remote control. To open the battery
compartment (ill. 1, pos. 14), slide the lid forward and take it off.
c) Removing the vehicle body
The vehicle body is secured at the chassis with holding clips which must be pulled out from the retaining pins. The
vehicle body can then be lifted off.
d) Installing the receiver aerial cable
The receiver aerial cable is normally rolled up upon delivery. Unroll the aerial cable completely and smoothen it
carefully.
Run the aerial cable through the aerial tube and stick the aerial tube into the aerial mount on the vehicle.
A rubber cap might be enclosed for the aerial tube. Place it on the tip of the aerial tube to prevent the cable from
moving out of position.
Make sure the aerial cable does not get into the drive mechanism.
Never shorten the aerial cable, which would reduce the range. Do not coil up the cable if it does not fit into
the aerial tube! Just let it hang loose from the top of the aerial tube.
e) Switching on the transmitter
There must be no other remote controls with the same channel or frequency within the range of the remote
control (a couple of 100 m). Otherwise, none of the models can be controlled properly and your model will
respond to both remote controls!
Unintended responses by the vehicle can cause injuries (the vehicle's drive unit might suddenly start
running) and damage to the vehicle itself.
Always switch on the remote control before switching on the vehicle.
Proceed in reverse order to switch of the devices. Switch off the vehicle before switching off the remote
control.
Always switch on the remote control before connecting the rechargeable battery pack to the speed controller.

• Si le véhicule devait avoir tendance à tirer vers la gauche ou vers la droite, réglez le compensateur de direction de
la radiocommande en conséquence (voir figure 1, pos. 9).
• Si la voiture s'arrête, une fois le levier (13) relâché ne s'arrête pas, corrigez dans ce cas la compensation de la
fonction de conduite à l´aide du régleur de compensation moteur (voir figure 1, pos. 10).
k) Arrêt de la course
Pour arrêter la course, procédez de la manière suivante :
• Laissez le véhicule rouler par inertie.
• Une fois le véhicule à l´arrêt, éteignez le véhicule (position de l´interrupteur marche/arrêt, voir figure 2), amenez
l´interrupteur en position «OFF».
Ne touchez pas les roues ou l'entraînement, ne bougez, dans aucun cas, le levier de commande pour la
fonction de conduite sur la radiocommande !
• Déconnectez le pack d'accus du régulateur de vitesse. Détachez complètement le connecteur.
• C'est seulement maintenant que la radiocommande peut être éteinte.
Attention !
Le moteur, le régulateur de vitesse et le pack d´accumulateurs chauffent énormément durant le
fonctionnement ! Pour cette raison, ne jamais toucher ces pièces immédiatement après la conduite. Risque
de brûlures !
Arrêtez immédiatement la course si vous observez des réactions inhabituelles de la voiture quant aux
commandes sur la radiocommande ou si la voiture ne réagit plus.
Ce genre de réaction peut être causé par un accu d'entraînement faible, des piles/accus faibles dans la
radiocommande ou une trop grande distance entre voiture et radiocommande.
De même, une antenne télescopique de radiocommande qui n'est pas entièrement ressortie, des
perturbations sur le canal radio utilisé (par ex. autres modèles réduits, transmission radio par d'autres
appareils) ou des conditions défavorables d'émission/de réception peuvent être la cause des réactions
inhabituelles de la voiture.
l) Transport du véhicule
Les interférences, l'actionnement involontaire de la radiocommande et la présence d'une autre radiocommande sur le
même canal peuvent entraîner des réactions imprévisibles du véhicule.
Pour cette raison, veillez impérativement à ne pas mettre les doigts dans l'entraînement lorsque le véhicule
doit être amené dans sa position de départ ou quand vous voulez le soulever du sol.
