i) Trimming in the Racecopter
First start the transmitter, then the model. Clear the motors (pitch stick to the bottom right and keep this position for
3 seconds).
Now push the pitch lever from the bottom position (motors off) carefully forward until the racecopter lifts off and is
suspended. Observe the flight behaviour of your model and change the trim if the model wants to move in a direction
into which you have not moved the transmitter.
Yaw trim
If the racecopter is trying to turn to the right when viewed
from above, reduce the speed until the racecopter is
standing safely on the landing struts again. Now push
the trim button for the yaw function (see figure 19) to the
left several times.
Push the pitch stick carefully forward and check if the ad-
justment was sufficient. Keep repeating this procedure
until the helicopter no longer has any tendency to turn
to the right.
If the racecopter turns to the left when viewed from
above, press the trim button for the yaw function to the
right. Every operation of a button is confirmed by a short
signal sound.
If the button is pushed and held, the remote control will
emit a quick sequence of signals. When the end of the
trim range has been reached, the acoustic signals go
out. When trimming back, the middle position is acousti-
cally indicated by a longer signal.
Roll trimming
If the racecopter tries to drift or tip to the right, reduce
the speed until the racecopter is standing safely on its
landing struts again. Now push the trim button for the roll
function (see figure 20) to the left several times.
Push the pitch stick carefully forward and check if the ad-
justment was sufficient. Repeat the procedure until the
model does not show any tendency to drift to the right.
If the racecopter tries to drift to the left, push the trim
button for the rolling function to the right.
