10. Commissioning of the Racecopter

a) Charging the Flight Battery

The enclosed 3-cell LiPo flight battery is charged
with the LiPo charger and the plug-in mains adapt-
er.
When charging, always remove the flight battery
from the model in order to prevent shape distortion
of the plastic parts if the components heat up.
Connect the plug-in mains adapter (figure 5, item
1) to the corresponding round socket of the LiPo
charger.
The connection cable of the mains adapter is
wound up at delivery. Before first use, the cable
retainer must be opened and the cable unwound.
The red LED at the LiPo charger (see figure 5, item
6) indicates proper power supply.
Then connect the 4-pin balancer plug (1) to the cor-
responding socket (2) of the LiPo charger.
The 2-pole connection cable with the XT60 plug is
not required for charging. Later on, you connect the
rechargeable battery to the model with this cable.
