Function

The device C-module operates according to the electrodeless, inductive measuring princi-
ple.
Liquids containing dissolved substances conduct electricity in dependence on their degree
of dissociation. The specific conductivity (χ) is expressed in mS/cm and is characteristic
for the respective substance. The conductivity measurement can be used to determine the
concentration of a solution.

The excitation current in the trans-
mitter coil generates an alternating
magnetic field in its core.
This induces a voltage in the liquid.

Temperature compensation

The conductivity changes in dependence on the temperature of the solution that is to be
measured. The influence of the temperature on the result of the measurement is compen-
sated through the temperature sensor that is integrated into the measuring cell. The tem-
perature compensation factor can be adjusted in the device between 0%/K ad 5%/K in
stages of 0,01%/K.

Conductivity Measuring Module (electrodeless)
A current that increases with increasing ion concentration flows through
the ions available in the liquid.
Temperature compensation factor Tkα for the solution to be measured must be indi-
vidually determined and incorporated into the measuring parameters (see section 4.2),
in order to obtain the most accurate possible reading. Incorrect values for Tkα (includ-
ing Factor 0.0 %/K) can result in significant deviation in the measured readings!
The induced current generated in this way in the
receiver coil is transmitted as the measurement current
into the measuring amplifier for processing.

On his part, the current in the liquid
generates a magnetic alternating
field in the receiver core.
