9. Dismounting, return and disposal

DANGER!
Danger to life due to electrical voltages
Upon contact with live parts, there is a direct danger to life.

The dismounting of the instrument may only be carried out by skilled
personnel.
▶
Remove the instrument once the system has been deenergised.
9.1
Dismounting
When disassembling the instrument the following must be followed:
1. Ensure that there is no positive or negative gauge pressure on the instrument and
that all parts of the instrument are at room temperature.
2. Switch the instrument off using the [ON/OFF] button on the front.
3. First pull the power supply unit from the mains socket and then from the mains
connection of the instrument.
4. Loosen the pressure connections.
5. Do not close the pressure inlets.
6. Make sure that no media adheres to the instrument. Clean as required, see chapter
8.2 "Cleaning".

Return
Strictly observe the following when shipping the instrument:
All instruments delivered to WIKA must be free from any kind of hazardous

substances (acids, bases, solutions, etc.) and must therefore be cleaned before
being returned, see chapter 8.2 "Cleaning".
When returning the instrument, use the original packaging or a suitable transport

packaging.
Instruments with lithium-ion rechargeable batteries or lithium-metal batteries
The lithium-ion rechargeable batteries or lithium-metal batteries included are subject
to the requirements of the dangerous goods law. Special requirements for packaging
and marking must be observed when shipping. A dangerous goods expert must
be consulted when preparing the package. Do not send any damaged or defective
rechargeable batteries. Mask open contacts and pack the rechargeable battery so that
it cannot move in the packaging and thus short-circuits are prevented. Observe the
different dangerous goods requirements relative to the respective modes of transport
and any other national regulations.
