DANGER!
Physical injuries, damage to property and the environment due to
an improper handling of the lithium-ion rechargeable battery
Improper handling of the lithium-ion rechargeable battery can
EN
immediately lead to dangerous situations and serious injuries, since the
built-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery can explode, heat up or ignite.

Should the rechargeable battery in the instrument stop working, contact
WIKA. Do not open the instrument under any circumstances.
For contact details, see chapter 1 "General information" or the back page
of the operating instructions.
The lithium-ion rechargeable battery is permanently installed in the instrument. The
battery life for the rechargeable battery is up to 8 hours in continuous operation. The
rechargeable battery can be charged only using the power supply unit included in the
scope of delivery.
Charging the lithium-ion rechargeable battery
The temperature range over which the lithium-ion rechargeable battery can be
■
charged is 0 ... 45 °C [32 ... 113 °F]. Temperatures outside of the specifications lead,
during the charging process, to heating or destruction to the rechargeable battery.
14
Only use the supplied power supply unit.
Do not continue to charge the lithium-ion rechargeable battery in the
low-pressure controller if it does not fully recharge within the specified
time (approx. 8 hours).
Do not leave the instrument near fire, nor in direct sunlight. If the
lithium-ion rechargeable batteries become hot, the built-in safety
device is activated and prevents overcharging. Heating the lithium-ion
rechargeable batteries can damage the safety device and can thus
lead them to heat up further, to cease to work or to ignite.
The instrument must absolutely not be used if, while using, charging,
or storing, it emits an unusual smell, feels hot or appears abnormal in
any other way.
Should the lithium-ion rechargeable battery ever leak and the fluid
come into contact with the eyes, do not under any circumstances rub
the eyes. Rinse the eyes thoroughly with water and seek immediate
medical attention. If the eyes are left untreated, damage to the eyes
could occur.
