Commands for serial interface

All interface commands are preceded by a colon and completed with the carriage
return (CR).
▶
Command and parameters must be separated by a space.
▶
By adding a question mark to the appropriate action the parameter can be read
rather than changed.
▶
Received commands are acknowledged with [OK], unavailable or false commands
with ERROR.
