14.2 Final deactivation
The smoke alarm device has reached its
intended service life (incl. radio link) in ac-
cordance with DIN 14676 and DIN EN 14604
after 10 years from initial commisioning.
The maximum storage time after manu-
facture is 2 years. The intended service life
and the maximum storage time are printed
together as the replacement date on the
product label.
f Replace the device at the end of
this useful life.
14.3 Disposal
The crossed-out wheelie bin indicates
that the device must not be disposed of
with regular household waste.
The legal basis is the Electrical and Elec-
tronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) and the
WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU. As the man-
ufacturer, Pyrexx covers the costs for
disposal. Owners of used devices from
private households must dispose of used
devices at the collection points of the
public waste management authorities

or at the collection points set up by the
manufacturers or distributors in accord-
ance with the ElektroG.
