2.
Fix the adjusting screw by a locknut, and fasten the
clamping lever (20).
8.3 Installation of the longitudinal stop, Fig. 9+10
1.
Screw-in 4 wing screws with a shim for each screw
approximately 5 mm into the tabletop (Fig. 9).
2.
Insert the guide tube (31) into the table until the
stop, and loosely tighten the wing screws.
3.
Fasten the slewing part of the guide tube with two
M6x12 screws and a lock washer on the table (Fig.
10).
4.
Tighten the wing nuts.
5.
Put the longitudinal stop on the guide tube at the
left of the saw band, and clamp it. The stop tube
must be parallel to the table groove. A correction
can be performed by releasing the two cylinder
head screws (Fig. 11).
6.
The longitudinal alignment stop can be set in ei-
ther of two different positions. (Figs. 11.1+11.2)
7.
For flat cuts on thin workpieces, use the low part
of the stop (Fig. 11.2) to enable the adjustable
separating saw blade guard (3) and the saw blade
guide to be lowered as close as possible towards
the workpiece.
8.4 Storing the push rod, Fig. 2
In order to have the push rod (29) to hand at all times,
hang it on the device (24) intended for this.
8.5 Replacement of the sawing band, Fig. 12+13
Attention: Pull the mains plug!
Danger! Danger of injury even with sawing band at
standstill. When replacing the sawing blade, wear gloves.
Only use suitable sawing blades
1.
Move lever A to '+'.
2.
Remove the longitudinal alignment stop and the
guide rail in opposite direction in acc. with 8.3 (in-
stallation of the longitudinal alignment stop)
3.
Open the housing door (1) by unfastening the two
door locks (2).
4.
Release the adjustment knob (9) until the sawing
blade is released.
5.
Remove the sawing blade and lead it through
– the slit in the work table,
– the sawing band protection at the upper blade
guide,
– the sawing band protection at the sawing hous-
ing and the table guides.
6.
Mount a new sawing band. Check the correct po-
sition: The teeth must point to the front side of the
saw (where the doors are).

7.
Align the sawing band to the centre of the rubber
of the band edges.
8.
Tighten the adjustment knob (9) until the band no
longer slides off the edges.
– Tighten the sawing band with adjustment knob (9)
– Align the sawing band with adjustment knob
(10)
– Align the band guides. Tighten the lock nut (25).
– Align the blade guides (4) (8.6).
9.
Close both housing doors.
10. Then:
– Conduct a test run of at least 1 minute.
– Stop the saw, pull out the mains plug and check
the settings.
8.5.1 Tighten the sawing band, Fig. 12
Danger: Too high tension can break the band. Too low
tension can cause the driven band wheel to slip and
the sawing band will stop.
1.
Set the upper sawing band guide (4) fully upwards.
2.
Check the tension by pressing a finger halfway
between table and the upper band guide against
the side of the band. The band should not edge
down more than 3 to 5 mm.
3.
If necessary, correct the tension:
– Turning the adjustment knob (9) counter-clock-
wise increases the sawing band tension.
– Turning the adjustment knob (9) clockwise re-
duces the band tension.
Important note! Excessively high tension leads to pre-
mature breakage!
On completion of work, always relieve tension on the
saw blade! To do this, move lever A to '–'.
8.5.2 Alignment of the sawing band, Fig. 13
If the sawing band is no centred in the middle of the
rubber wheels the track must be corrected by adjusting
the incline of the upper band wheel:
1.
Release the lock nut (25).
2.
Turn the adjustment knob (10):
– Turn the adjustment knob (10) clockwise if the
sawing band hits the front side of the saw.
– Turn the adjustment knob (10) counter-clock-
wise if the sawing band hits the back side of
the saw.
3.
Tighten the lock nut (25).
8.6 Setting the saw blade guide, Fig. 12
You can adjust the top saw blade guide with the help of
the adjustment knob on the saw blade guard (13) from
0-205 mm in terms of workpiece height.
