m) Completion of the rudder unit

The rudder (1) is cut out as described for the elevator, sanded down and glued
to the tailplane (2).
Measure and attach the rudder hinges (3) as described for the elevator.

n) Installing elevator unit and rudder unit

Before you glue the elevator unit (1) and the ruder unit (2) to the fuselage (3),
attach the components without glue. Check if the parts fit and if they are properly
aligned.
The rudder unit must be at an exact 90°-angle to the elevator unit. The elevator
unit must be aligned parallel to the wing (ill. 14b).
Practical tip:
It is easiest to check the position of the unit if you look at the back of your model
from a distance of about 1-2 m.
When the parts fit perfectly, you can glue the units to the fuselage using 5-
minute epoxy resin.
