g) Mounting the Rudder Unit
• The rudder unit (1) is inserted from above into the plas-
tic holder of the elevator (2). The control lever of the
rudder (3) has to point to the left in the direction of flight.
• The rudder unit (1) must also be at a 90° angle to the
elevator unit (4) (see sketch). Now look at your model
from some distance from the rear to detect any slants.
• If necessary, slide small paper strips into the shaft from
the side t compensate slight slants.
• Once the elevator unit is exactly aligned, attach it from
the left side with the third 2 x 8 mm screw (5).
h) Linkage of the rudder
• Suspend the fork head (1) of the rudder linkage (the
right linkage seen from flight direction) in the central
boring of the rudder lever (2).
The rudder (3) should now be precisely in the middle.
• As already described in the previous sections, you can
also detect the correct rudder position when looking at
your model from the rear from some distance.
• If necessary, you can change the length of the control
rods (4) by twisting the detached fork head and thus
adjust the rudder flap precisely.
