t) Installing the drive unit

Put heat shrink tube of sufficient thickness onto the three connection wires of
the motor (1) and solder them to the three connection wires of the speed
controller (2). After soldering, the soldering joints have to be tested and insulated
against each other using the heat shrink tube.
Before soldering the connection wires as illustrated, the running
direction of the motor has to be checked (see "Operating the speed
controller").
A connection cable with the battery plug of your choice has to be soldered to
the power supply cables of the speed controller (3).
Install the motor on the motor mounting plate with 2.6 x 8 mm screws (4). Apply
a generous amount of wood glue to the squared timber and insert this unit into
the squared cut-out in the fuselage (5).
The speed controller (6) is inserted into the fuselage through the cooling air
opening and attached there using double-sided adhesive tape. Install the
propeller shaft (7). Push it onto the motor shaft as far as it will go and fasten it
using the grub screws.
Install the cowling (8). Install the support plate of the spinner (9). Push the
whole unit towards the cowling as far as it will go.
Align the support plate of the spinner so that it is correctly installed on the
cowling. When everything fits perfectly, secure the whole unit with adhesive
tape until the glue has hardened.
