8. Assembling the model

Before assembling the model, please read through each individual section carefully. The construction phases are illustrated for better understanding.
Please note that the numbers in the text always refer to the components in the illustration to the right.
Only carry out the described steps in the individual sections if you have completely understood the procedure and know exactly what to pay
attention to.
a) Gluing together the fuselage halves
The fuselage consists of the left and the right fuselage half. To be painted, it is
only fixed with a few adhesive strips. Check if the two halves fit neatly together.
If they do, separate the two halves. Apply a thin layer of wood glue to one of the
halves (see shaded area in ill. 3) and put both halves together. Remaining glue
can be wiped off immediately with a moistened cloth.
When the glue has hardened, insert the Bowden cable tubes into the respective
holes on the left and the right of the fuselage (1). Let the tube protrude from the
fuselage by approx. 1 cm (see ill. 15 and 16) and use 5-minute epoxy resin to
glue the tubes to the fuselage.

b) Assembling the wing attachment

Use 5-minute epoxy resin to glue the front support with both square openings
(1) to the front centre of the fuselage cut-out.
Glue the M3 nut to the rear wing attachment (2) using superglue. Apply some
5-minute epoxy resin to the slit at the rear of the fuselage and slide the wing
attachment (2) into the slit. Make sure that the M3 nut reaches into the fuselage
and that the attachment screw (3) of the rear wing support is aligned in the
centre.
Tip! To ensure that not glue reaches the thread, we recommend greasing the
wing attachment screw before screwing it into the thread.
