10. Start-up
m Attention!
Always make sure the product is fully assembled
before commissioning!
Observe the following points before commissioning
the wet and dry grinding machine:
26 | GB
• Actuate the main switch. Wait until the grinding
disc reaches maximum speed. Only then should
you start grinding.
• Hold the workpiece firmly on the tool support and
move slowly and evenly towards the grinding disc.
• The grinding process can reduce the speed of the
grinding disc. Then reduce the pressure slightly un-
til the disc has reached its full speed again.
ATTENTION:
• Small workpieces should be held in place with pliers
or a similar tool.
• Only grind on the face of the grinding disc, never
on the sides.
• As most materials become hot during grinding, the
workpiece must be handled with extreme care.
• Never sharpen or grind aluminium parts.
• Never sharpen or grind parts that can no longer be
held securely due to their size.
Working with the wet grinding disc.

4
Empty the water tank after grinding; there is a
drain plug under the water tank for this purpose.
Note! If the grindstone stands in water for a long time,
it may become deformed and no longer run smoothly.
11. Electrical connection
The electrical motor installed is connected and ready
for operation. The connection complies with the appli-
cable VDE and DIN provisions.
The customer's mains power connection as well as
the extension lead used must also comply with these
regulations.
Damaged electrical connection cable
The insulation on electrical connection cables is often
damaged.
This may have the following causes:
• Pressure points, where connection cables are
passed through windows or doors.
• Kinks where the connection cable has been improp-
erly fastened or routed.
• Places where the connection cables have been cut
due to being driven over.
