To set the AE Lock
:
There are two ways to set the AE
lock.
For qu
ick
shoot ing, simp ly make your exposure
reading as
ex
plain
ed
above, push
the
lock
lever
all
the
way
in
th
e
d
irecti
on of
th
e
arrow
and
hold
it
there
until
after you
release
the
shutter.
(The
L
EOs
in
the
view-
finder
w
ill
f lash a
warnin
g as long as the AE lock is
in
effect.)
Continuous
Lock: For prolonged
use,
the AE
lo
ck
may
be
se
t to give
the
same
exposure
co
ntinuously
.
In
this
in
sta nce,
first,
adva nce
the film
but when
the film
advance
lever return s,
sto
p
it at the
stand-off position
(away
from
the
ca mera
body).
Th
en set
your exposure
and push the
A
E lock lever
up,
until it
locks with
a
cli
ck
.
To re
lease the
A
E lock from the continuou
s
lock
posi-
t
ion,
manually return it
to
the
off position, or push
the fi lm
advance lever
flu sh
aga
inst
the
ca mera
body.
A lways release the AE lock after use to avoid needless
battery
drain.
