4.3 Description of the heating functions (heating types)
Defrost
Cooking temperature: 0°C, not adjustable
The air in the cooking chamber is circulated
F--1
without heating.
This gently accelerates the defrosting process.
Full width grill
Default temperature: 180°C
The large concentrated heat from above
F--2
browns the top of the food.
Suitable for grilling and browning larger quantities.
Bottom heat
Default temperature: 180°C
The heat is concentrated from below
F--3
without browning the top of the food.
Suitable for reheating food or for dishes with long
cooking times, such as casseroles, stews or pastries,
as well as for steam cleaning (for a description,
see the cleaning chapter).
Pizza function
Default temperature: 180°C
The concentrated heat from below is supplemented
F--4
by the circulation of heated air.
Suitable for recipes with moist toppings and crispy
dough, such as pizza, quiche, fruit and cheese cakes.
Preheating of the oven recommended.
Hot air
Default temperature: 180°C
The air in the cooking chamber is circulated and
F--5
heated at the same time. This speeds up the cooking
process and reduces the risk of the food burning.
Suitable for cooking on several levels.
