The standby key {2.5} allows for the pump to be easily shut off as well as
restarted. By pressing down on the standby key for more than 2 seconds,
the pump will be completely shut down. Once the pump has shutdown,
the standby key will light up and remain lit. The pump can then be
restarted by again pressing on the standby key for more than 2 seconds.
All hydraulic connections including thous of the optionally integrated
dynamic mixing chamber are on the front panel of the Smartline Pump
1000 (see Fig. 4). For information on how to connect eluent tubings to the
pump head as well as on how to remove and install the pump head,
please refer to section "Connecting the Smartline Pump 1000 to other
Instruments" starting on page 28.
The possibility exists for a static mixing chamber to be affixed to the
metal plate behind the front door of the pump. The fastening clamp (item
{6.3} in Fig. 4) was designed for this purpose. Alternatively the mounting
plate for the SmartMix Mischer can be placed there.
