Disconnect the capillary of the chamber outlet, Pos. 6 in Fig. 25.

Loosen and remove the three mounting screws (Pos. 9)

Remove the upper chamber segment (Pos. 8).

According to your requirements, remove or install the intermediate
chamber segment (Pos. 5).
7.
Install the upper chamber segment and fix it with the three
mounting screws. If the intermediate piece is removed, the three
shorter screws from the accessory kit must be used.
8.
Connect the outlet capillary to the chamber outlet.
9.
Perform SOP 34 on page 42 to ensure that there is no leakage.
Electrical signal lines from other instruments can be connected to either
the
Analog/Error/Start,
Events socket, or to the
RS232 serial interface
on the rear side of the Smartline Pump 1000 (items {5.7},{5.6}, and {5.5}
in Fig. 5 on page 8).
Events can be controlled from the main menu or in programs according to
SOP 9 "Setting Events" on page 19.
Do not touch the electrical contacts of the socket lines. Electrostatic
discharges can lead to damage of the electronics of the Smartline
Pump 1000.
For external control of the Smartline Pump 1000 a special plug strip
should be configured according to the local conditions. You can use the
plug strips with 4 or 10 connectors (enclosed in the accessories) for easy
installation of electrical connections.

Use this SOP for connecting wires to the plug strips.

Mounting plug strips
1. Insert the rounded end of the lever latch into
the square opening of the selected connector
of the plug strip.
2. Press the latch down as indicated by the
arrow.
3. Insert the uninsulated end of the cable into the
opening under the latch.
4. Release the latch (1) and remove the lever
latch from the plug (2).
The cable is now firmly anchored in the plug strip.
