Faulty operation as well as a blockage in one of the capillaries can
result in high pressure peaks. Moreover, we recommend setting the
maximum system pressure at 25 Mpa when using ceramic inlays in
the pump head in order to avoid damage to the pump.
Setting the Flow Rate
This SOP applies to the Smartline Pump 1000 Firmware Version 1.0X or
higher. Use this SOP for setting the correct ow rate.
1. Position the cursor over the FLOW field (see item {1.3} in Fig. 3 on
page 7).
2. Enter the desired ow rate with the numeric keys.
3. Press any arrow key for confirmation.
Setting the Solvent Composition
This SOP applies to the Smartline Pump 1000 Firmware Version 1.0X or
higher.
1. Move the cursor to the field % A (see item {1.8} in in Fig. 3 on page
7).
2. Type in the desired percentage for channel A. The value for
channel B shown in the adjacent field is automatically calculated
and complements the value entered to give a total of 100%.
3. Press any arrow key for confirmation.
Setting the Control Signals (Events)
Events are defined as states or changes of state of the electrical contacts
on the Events socket of the instrument. You can either open or close any
of the contacts or activate them by using a 500 ms impulse. In certain
instances, the manual control may be useful, e.g. for test purposes.
Information on how to make these cable connections please refer to the
section "Electrical Connections" on page 27.
This SOP applies to the Smartline Pump 1000 Firmware Version 1.0X or
higher.
1. Position the cursor at the event field.
2. Choose either 0, 1, 2 or 3 according to the following table:
0 — Off
1 — On
2 — Pulse
3 — No change with respect to previous status
3. When finished setting the events, press any arrow key.
